About Our Programs

EHP students take structured language and culture courses taught by qualified EF teachers using EF textbooks and curriculum. Students are engaged in EF Action Learning during weekdays to discover America in and out of the classroom, while building confidence in their understanding of the English language and American culture.

There is local EF staff present every step of the way for students and host families. EF students are accompanied by a Course Leader from their home country that works on the EF team. The Course Leader is present to help with any language barrier or issue that may arise.

Program Types

International Programs

This program brings groups of students from three (or more) different countries into one American community. Students stay with volunteer host families and travel to our local EF Course Center daily where they will take language and culture classes in the morning. In the afternoon they will depart with EF staff to participate in fun and interactive local activities, and sometimes overnight sightseeing activities.  Given the environment in the international program students are challenged to use English to connect with their new international friends and host families!

General Program

The general program brings a group of students from a single country to your area to live with volunteer host families. These students will have daily classes at our EF Course Center and will attend afternoon/weekend/overnight activities led by EF Staff.

Immersion Program

Students in the immersion program live with volunteer host families, but they do not participate in daily classes and activities. They spend their time exploring the local culture with their host families and immersing themselves in to the American away of life and English language, while forming strong bonds with host family members.
