Three years ago I moved from Ohio to the beautiful Florida beach. St. Augustine is a wonderful place to live complete with history, warmth, and breathtaking sunrises! What do you think it is like to work in a lighthouse? It is a unique experience. When I am not teaching for EF I work as Outreach Coordinator for the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum. This means that I take specialty lighthouse tours into the classroom for various ages. During your stay in Florida you can give me your own opinion of the lighthouse as you climb the 219 steps to the top.
I have been with EF for three years. It is always an enjoyable time to make new friendships from around the world. St. Augustine will be a memorable trip for you to always cherish.
My family is the other important part of my life. My husband, Van, and I have been married for thirty years. We enjoy traveling, walks on the beach, and playing cards.
I have two daughters. My oldest, Kristy, is twenty seven years old. She still lives in Ohio and is a teacher. Her two cats, Wuss and Gus, are definitely the biggest love in her life right now. Steph, 20, is my youngest daughter. Currently she attends Flagler College and is majoring in Communications. Eventually she would like to be a journalist specializing in international relations. Since moving to Florida Steph has become a beach bum and loves the ocean. The newest member of our family arrived a year ago. Emma is a crazy cat and you never know what she will get into next!
St. Augustine is a remarkable city filled with surprise at each corner. The small town atmosphere is perfectly merged with easy going attitude of the beach. I greatly look forward to meeting you and helping you discover your own American Dream!
