The city of Napa is located to the northeast of San Francisco in the heart of beautiful Napa Valley, an area of the country famous for its many wine vineyards.

Napa is an interesting place, and it is the diverse group of people that live and work here that make it such a great place to explore. Ranchers, growers, entrepreneurs, writers, poets, artists and more, all call Napa their home. They are all drawn to the valley by its natural beauty and rural way of life.

Napa has obtained worldwide recognition as a premier wine-producing region. Napa has been growing premier wine grapes for over one hundred years. Due to its large wine growing activity, Napa Valley enjoys a rich and varied cultural calendar. Wine and food related events, ethnic festivals and international sporting events are just a sample of some of the activities going on in Napa. Almost every weekend there are musical performances with something for everyone to enjoy. These range from chamber music in limestone caves to country western, rock and roll and rap on the green.

Napa is full of many parks and recreational facilities, where people can enjoy the outdoors or play their favorite sports. There is a mall and several shopping areas located throughout Napa. Here, you can find that special souvenir for your friends and families.

Napa’s families have enjoyed hosting EF students for several years. They are eager to meet their new visitors! So come see for yourself all that Napa has to offer!
